Salad with tuna and rice

A delicious, classic salad with tuna, rice, corn, egg and mayonnaise. A quick, light and filling salad for everyday and special occasions.

Singredients needed for approx. 4-6 servings:

  • 100 g long grain rice
  • 1 can of tuna in oil or own sauce
  • (about 150 g after draining)
  • 1 can of canned corn
  • (about 250 g after draining)
  • 4 eggs
  • cherry tomatoes
  • a little green onion or chives
  • 4 teaspoons of mayonnaise
  • salt, ground black pepper

Method of preparation:

  1. Cook the rice in salted water. ( It should be cooked loose, not overcooked). Then drain well in a strainer and allow to cool.
  2. Hard boil the eggs, cool, peel the shells and dice them.
  3. Drain the tuna and corn.
  4. Transfer the rice to a bowl. Add drained tuna, corn, eggs and cherry tomatoes. Add chopped green onions or chives and mayonnaise to taste (about 4 tablespoons). Season with salt and pepper.
  5. The salad can be served immediately. It can also be chilled in the refrigerator.
