Ingredients needed: for about 20 servings
– 2 cups of sugar – 500 ml of spirit – about 1 kg of quince fruit – 2 teaspoons of honey
How to prepare quince tincture:
Thoroughly wash the quince and cut into smaller pieces. Remove seeds and seed nests to avoid excessive bitterness. Pour the fruit pieces into a large jar.
Cover the fruit with sugar and shake the jar well so that the sugar mixes with the fruit
Mix the spirit with 1 cup of water and pour over the fruit.
Seal the whole thing tightly and set it aside in a dark place for approx. one month.
After this time, pour the liquid contents of the jar into a bottle and pour a glass of water mixed with honey over the remaining fruit. Set the fruit so prepared aside for about two weeks.
After 2 weeks, mix the fruit with the poured tincture.
