Almond-crusted green beans is one of those dishes that is brilliant in its simplicity. A dish that is simple and quick to prepare. With the perfect combination of several ingredients, it can become a showpiece dish in the best restaurants
Ingredients for approx. 4- 5 servings
– ca. 600 g refried beans, – yellow or green – 3 tbsp flaked or crushed almonds – 30 g clarified butter – salt to taste
Method of preparation:
Cut off the ends of the beans and rinse them thoroughly.
Transfer to a pot and pour cold water.
Add a small teaspoon of salt.
Bring to a boil and cook covered until for approx. 15- 20 minutes so that it is soft but not falling apart. Young cooks faster).
Drain the cooked beans and let them steam for a while.
Grind the almonds to your liking and roast them gently in a dry skillet until lightly browned.
Add pieces of butter and stir until it melts. Add a pinch of salt and cooked beans to taste.
Stir so that the beans are gently coated in almonds.
